Travel Arrangements for Jeffrey Hansler
A few personal notes. Jeffrey prides himself on being easy to work with and a road warrior (comes from being a surfer, rugby player, and cowboy).
As soon as they warm up the engines on a plane, he can get all the sleep he needs. He is seaworthy (NAUI SCUBA Instructor), and he acclimatizes to different weather and environments very quickly (that surfer, cowboy thing again): Not that this is really important because the temperature difference between the airport, car, and hotel is usually tolerable (Although, meeting rooms can get very cold, can't they?).
He also loves to be pampered and pleasantly surprised: Penthouse, spa treatments, and room amenities are all appreciated. Since TSA has taken his Swiss Army Pen Knife away, a manicure is always a fun idea.
Extra time with your group
Most importantly, he loves to get involved with the group before and immediately following his programs. This includes golf, excursions, etc.
Activities before usually provide plenty of contextual (appropriate and positive only) humor to add to his programs for the enjoyment of the group.
Activities after his program(s), give him a chance to hear ideas in response to his delivered program.
Both of these opportunities provide valuable information for your company and gives Jeffrey a chance to let the attendees know how valuable their involvement is for the organization and the success of the meeting.
Air Transportation
Our agreement specifies Full Coach for domestic and Business Class for International. He prefers non-stop and can travel easily from (preference order): Orange County John Wayne (SNA), Long Beach International (LGB) , and Los Angeles International (LAX). We work to book Jeffrey at a value rate for flying whenever possible as long as it does not impact his performance (He's 6'4" and he sleeps better on planes when his knees are not in his ears.)
Ground Transportation
For domestic programs, we prefer it if you arrange a pick up and drop off for Jeffrey from the airport to the site location. For international programs, please provide pick-up and drop-off from the airport to the destination.
Car Travel
For local programs, where Jeffrey will be driving, the expense rate is the government suggested rates which is .45 cents a mile as of January 1, 2005.
Hotel
These are minimum preferences: King, non-smoking, away from elevator shaft. Late arrival, late checkout.
Recommendations: concierge level, suite
